University of North Texas - Track & Field Complex
As a part of UNT’s athletic master plan, the state-of-the-art stadium is home to the Mean Green soccer and Track & Field teams and provides opportunities to host Conference USA championships and other events. Built on a 25 acre site, the new 8-lane track is designed to meet NCAA standards and includes south end d-zone for high jump and designated area along the west side of the oval for long jump, triple jump, and pole vault. Throwing events take place outside the oval on the east side of the stadium. Meet management facilities are provided in the renovated storage facility. Oriented for track and field events, the stadium has permanent seating for about 1,500 spectators, press box, and canopy cover. Soccer is played inside the oval on the new sand-based, drain-through field allowing for soccer matches to be played in all weather conditions. An accompanying 14,800-square foot field house accommodates new coaches’ offices, locker rooms, team meeting areas, and a student-athlete lounge.

Port Arthur ISD - Port Acres Elementary School
Located on approximately 19 acres of previously developed and demolished land just west of State Highway 93 and north of State Highway 73, the new elementary school will relieve an underserved growing community. The proposed one-story facility addresses the Port Acres community with a pair of welcoming ‘front' porches. The west porch connects the main entrance to visitor parking, while the north porch creates a space for students to wait to load busses. Both entrances access the lobby where students and visitors can take in the striking educational graphics. The visual displays contain information on local history, local and aquatic wildlife, nutrition, and more.

Goddard School of The Greater Heights
Built along W 23rd Street, the two new buildings greatly extended services of this Goddard School franchisee from their existing space nearby. Fifteen new classrooms in two new buildings and staff work areas expanded the space for teaching and preparation. Flexible spaces were also included in the design, for afterschool programs or to give educators more options to get their students out of the classroom, even during inclemate weather.
The two-story buildings fall in between bungalows and townhomes while not outshining them. The playgrounds are placed along the street front- protected by fences and bollards- to create a more active pedestrian way. This leaves the building to rise like children's blocks behind street trees and canopies.
